Strong, fresh coffee can also help combat sleepiness. However, we recommend avoiding excessive consumption, as coffee puts too much strain on the gastrointestinal tract and heart, which can lead to problems with their function.
It’s also important to alternate between monotonous work and active activities. Alternating mental and physical activity is very beneficial. Speaking out loud about your actions can help combat drowsiness, giving you greater control over the situation. If possible, take a contrast shower every hour. If this isn’t possible, wash your face with cold water. Avoid settling into a sofa or comfortable chair, as a comfortable position will further relax you and “awaken” the temptation to fall rest.
How to overcome rest during the day?
If you couldn’t rest at night, and you have a multitude of issues requiring immediate solutions during the day, then the first question you need to address is how to overcome sleep. Start with strong tea; drink 1-2 glasses with a slice of lemon. Avoid adding mint to the tea, as it has a calming effect and can put you to sleep even faster. Also, pour cold water over yourself, preferably directly from a bucket.
Another folk remedy involves preparing an invigorating drink consisting of mineral water, a tablespoon of honey, and a slice of lemon. Mix all the ingredients and drink it all in one gulp.
How to overcome sleepiness at night?
It’s very difficult to stay awake at night. In this case, all the above methods are suitable, but it’s still difficult to get rid of drowsiness at night. However, there’s a good recipe for this: mix strong coffee with cola in a 50/50 ratio. Also, remember to avoid comfortable positions that promote rest. You can occupy yourself with something engaging, such as talking on the phone, playing a game, chatting online, or watching a movie.
